My career in care began when I moved to the UK in 2004, working in a residential home supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Before joining Cura Homes in 2025, I co-managed a domiciliary care agency, supporting people in their own homes and in sheltered accommodation. This gave me a strong understanding of how the right support can make a real difference to someone’s independence and confidence.

To me, good support is about being there when someone needs you; offering guidance, reassurance, or simply listening. When things are complex, I’m guided by empathy, respect for individual choice, and finding the right balance between support and accountability. 

I’m known as approachable, dependable, and energetic, and I take real pride in supporting and empowering my team, especially those new to care. Seeing people – both colleagues and those we support – grow in confidence and independence is what I find most rewarding.  

Outside of work, I value quiet, peaceful time with my family. I love cooking and baking, and I enjoy spending time with the children’s ministry at church. My perfect day would be talking to my family overseas, baking, and relaxing with a walk in the park or a visit to the garden centre for coffee.
